Our legends were never waiting to be recognized. They were too busy building our culture.
They didn't wear suits.
They wore grease-stained coveralls.
They didn't spend their evenings at networking events.
They spent them in garages, under hoods, teaching the next generation how to build something with pride.
Their hands tell the story.
Every scar.
Every callous.
Every late night spent creating more than a car or a bike—they were creating family, identity, and community.
Kansas City hasn't always celebrated these heroes.
Not because they weren't worthy...
But because too often, the people doing the real work are the ones history forgets to write about.
Our Lowrider Legends are the ones who opened their garage doors to kids who needed someone to believe in them.
They passed down knowledge that can't be learned in a classroom.
They protected a culture that has always been about family, artistry, resilience, and love.
They never asked for awards.
They never chased recognition.
They simply showed up—year after year—for our community.
Now it's our turn to show up for them.
Who is your Lowrider Legend?
Tell us about the person who built more than custom cars or bikes...
Tell us about the person who built people.
Whether they're still cruising with us or riding with the angels, we want to honor the legacy they've left behind.
We're also celebrating those carrying the culture forward.
🚲 Emerging Lowrider Artist
Nominate a young builder, painter, fabricator, or artist who is already leaving their mark on our lowrider community. The future of our culture deserves to be seen today.
🤝 Mentor Award
Nominate someone who quietly changes lives through mentorship, guidance, patience, and love. The people who teach, encourage, and create safe spaces deserve to be celebrated.
This is bigger than an award.
It's about giving our flowers to the people who made our community what it is.
Let's make sure their names are remembered.
Let's tell their stories.
Let's honor their legacy.
Nominate your Lowrider Legend today. Because culture lives through the people who protect it. ❤️🌹
